SAP CRM Web IC Screen Configuration

Web IC  Screen Change:

In this post let us see how we can do the configuration on the screen(view) for change , rename the label , change the position , hide and display the fields with out any coding. In the sap gui version we need to change the screen. In the Web Ic version all can be achieved by configuration. If you want to add more validation then you need to write the code. Let us see how we can archive the following things.

First find out what is the web-ic component and the view that you need to change. See the following screen shot.

From the above screen click on any field and click F2( magic key :)) to get the technical information about this screen. Once you clicked F2 there is a pop up which shows the details information. See the following screen shot.

With the above screen you know the web-ic component and the view that we need to work on.

the Web Component is IUICMD and the view is search account. (note this we need this once we are in the web-ic component work bench).  Now go to the sap gui and enter the t-code bsp_wd_cmpwb.

Enter the Component and hit display, That should take you to the Component work bench.See the following screen shot.

Now click on the Views to see all the views available for this component. Now you should be able to see the view that you want to change(SearchAccount). Double click on this view you should be able to see the configuration tab on the right hand side. Click on the configuration tab. and then click on the edit button. Now you are ready change the screen how ever you want. See the following screen shot.

  1. Dear,

The information is very useful and systematic, especially the functional guys like me.
    Very well presented.

    Thanks and best wishes,

    Kartik

  2. Thx for the info on creating a new field. I am wondering how to configure this new field with some number range. Like for example, the “family name” should have an SNRO number when the page loads.
