SAP CRM — Marketing — Create a campaign using WEB-IC

In this post let us see how we can create a campaign using the Web IC.  You need to have Marketing Position attached to your user role, Then only you can see the menu. If you are agent you cannot see this menu.

The screen is under Marketing -> campaign. See the following screen shot.

Look at the following screen for campaign new. Once we enter the data for all of then we need to attach which group of customer that we are attaching for this campaign.  You need to select a profile group or a target group in the segments table. Click Here to see how to create a Profile set or target group.

See the following screen. I am selecting the target group that was already created by me in a different post ( Click Here To See that example ). The Total Count is 16 in this target group.

Now you attached a group of customer (target group) to this campaign. Now you need to attach a product to this campaign and execute this campaign. First click back button to save this campaign and go to campaign overview screen. I Hided all the blocks and show you what are all available to the campaign. We are only going to use the product and segments(which I already explained above).See the screen shot below for all the available parts of campaign. you can click on each tab to expand and click on edit to edit that particular tab.

Click Edit on the product screen and attach the product that you want to sell to this group of customer. see the following screen shot.

Once you added this click on the save button where you are saving the campaign and all the components that you attached to this campaign. See the header of this campaign screen. See the screen shot below.

The header has the name and the description and the message says the data has been saved.

There is a Hierarchy button which shows if there is a child and parent attached to the campaign. The Parent usually be the Marketing plan and the child be campaign element. See the following screen shot.

Now our campaign is in the Created status.

This has to go thru the release and approved stage. In the approved stage customer get the email or fax or mail and they can call us back and we can start selling the product to them.

Once the status is released and approved click start the campaign is ready to go Now email or phone call or list generation to call people or lead generation or any activity that you want will happen. That is all the marketing campaign needs to do. Rest is the sales process needs to take care of the selling piece. Let me explain that in another post. See the following screen shot to start the campaign.

Now your campaign is started and ready to go :).
Let me know if you have any question.

  1. What does priority induce ? Is there any use in using priority when creating campaigns for call lists exclusively? (no marketing campaign)
